Pitch trainer for singers and choirs

Sing your part in tune.

SingTuner listens through your microphone and shows, note by note, whether you’re on pitch. Learn your line before rehearsal, at your own pace.

Runs in the browser on computer and phone. Your voice is analysed on your device and never recorded.

Who is SingTuner for?

For choirs

Every voice part ready for rehearsal

A choir’s space with folders for each voice part.
  • Import the score as MusicXML and split it into soprano, alto, tenor and bass lines
  • One shared space for the choir, with a folder per voice part
  • Invite singers by email. Directors edit, singers practise
  • Singers join free. Only the director needs the Choir plan

For singers

A few minutes of practice, every day

A sung scale: every note green except one amber note.
  • Sing scales and exercises and watch each note turn green
  • Write your own exercises in C-D-E or Do-Re-Mi
  • Practise exercises other singers have shared, and rate them
  • Keep your scores and pick up where you left off

How a practice works

  1. 1

    Pick the notes

Open an exercise, write your own, or import your line from the score.

  2. 2

    Sing

The trainer shows the note to sing and where your voice is, in real time.

  3. 3

    See what to work on

Each note is marked in tune, nearly or off, with a score for the whole run.

For choirs

From the score to every singer’s phone

Export the score from MuseScore, Sibelius, Finale or Dorico as MusicXML and upload it. SingTuner reads every voice, keeps the rhythm, bar lines and lyrics, and turns the lines you choose into exercises your singers can practise.

  • Divisi lines are offered as upper and lower notes
  • Roles: admins, editors, and singers who practise
  • Private to the choir unless you publish
Import step: soprano, bass and violin lines listed with their note counts and ranges.

For singers

See your pitch, note by note

The trainer listens while you sing. In strict mode it waits on each note until you hold it in tune; in normal mode it keeps the tempo, as in rehearsal.

  • From C2 to C6, bass to soprano
  • Bass or treble clef, chosen for you
  • A public library of exercises, rated by singers

Questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. SingTuner runs in a recent browser on computer, tablet or phone. You only need to allow the microphone.

Is my voice recorded?

No. Pitch is detected on your device while you sing. Only the results (which notes were in tune, and for how long) are saved to your account.

Can I use my MuseScore files?

Yes, through MusicXML: in MuseScore choose File → Export → MusicXML, then upload the .musicxml or .mxl file.

Who pays in a choir?

Only the person who creates the choir’s space, usually the director. Singers use a free account.

Is the app available in Portuguese?

Not yet. For now the app is in English, and the notes can be shown as Do-Re-Mi.

Warm up before the next rehearsal.
